Work experience

Oigara is an experienced Counselor, Counselor supervisor, lecturer and ISO certified internal quality auditor with over 15 years experience. The places he has gathered experience from includes Amani Counselling Centre and Training Institute, Kenya Institute of Professional Counselling, East African Institute of Professional Counselling, Independent Medico-Legal Unit, Serein College, United States International University-Kenya, Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute, ICAS-Kenya. He works with clients going through issues like family and marital challenges, trauma, stress,  relationships struggles, loss and grief, life changes, work-life imbalance , premarital needs,  youth & adolescent challenges, emotional disturbances, academics & career choice and adjustment, chronic and terminal conditions, self-awareness, drug and substance use, among others.

Education

Bachelor of Commerce (KU) and MBA in Strategic Management (UON)

Work experience

Tom had been involved in mentorship, empowerment and training for many years as a Counsellor, facilitator and businessman.

He started off as a peer Counsellor while in University and has continued to impart his skills and knowledge in mentoring many people.

Tom has also been involved in the Man Enough program at Don Bosco Church Upperhill as a Facilitator from 2018 to 2024.

He previously worked in major banks such as CBA, CFC Stanbic and Bank of Africa and left in 2014 as a Senior Manager.
