After a busy schedule through your weekdays, it’s helpful for you to practice self-care on the weekend. Consider these tips:
To connect with others- Visit or call a family member or friend you haven’t spoken in a while, then invite them over for a home-cooked meal. You can also volunteer locally organized activities.
Creativity & Learning- Start a personal craft, painting, or cooking project, visit a museum or local cultural site. Think of listening to a new podcast series or watch a documentary.
Mindfulness & Growth- Practice yoga or meditation, journal (reflect on the past week, set intentions for the week ahead).
Adventure & Fun- Take a trip to a nearby town or new scenic spot, or outdoor activity like a live event: concert, theater, comedy show, or farmers’ market.
Resting & Resetting- Sleep in and have a slow morning with tea/coffee and a book. Take a long walk in nature like forest, beach, or park.
Even one meaningful activity can make the weekend feel well spent.
