It is not easy to process a loss/negative change in life. Each person reacts in different ways as guided by their own inner self reflection mechanism, before such realities come to settling in them. Some are guided by the Id (very powerful inborn energies that are immature, self centered, and need on the spot kind of satisfaction), some by the super-ego (strong societal expectations on an individual which include traditions, laws, religious rules, perceptions from friends/family/colleagues etc) or the ego ( ability to reason, solve problems, find solutions and balance the needs of Id and super-ego).

What to do

  1. Pull yourself back/ stepping back for a moment to reflect this may give you a clearer perspective even as you visualize the next move.
  2. Train to look for 2nd, 3rd or even 4th opinion from your support system
  3. Seek for views from a neutral person like a relevant professional.
  4. Always embrace the pros>cons>consequences  sequence on every option before you make a final decision.

It is possible, try not to give up.
